I'm about 90% sure that its a DNS or an load balancer issue.
I did an nslookup via my work DNS and the ip addres is different than the one being pulled from an alternate source.
If I ping the 1 ip address i'm getting ~48ms a ping vs 108-458ms.
My guess is that the load balancer is timing out, which then forces us to hit the failover.
