| RolStoppable said: I find clicking sticks so annoying that I rather have games ignore such functionality altogether. The reason why barrel rolls are done by pressing the right stick twice in either direction is because they transfered the shoulder buttons' functionality from previous games 1:1. On the N64 you used Z and R to lean (vertical position) and pressed either button twice for a barrel roll. They didn't put any more thought into it. |
Yeah, but I think they know (or at least, they should) that moving the stick twice in one direction is harder and more uncomfortable than clicking a button twice. It's way easier to do barrel rolls in the N64 game. Also, when I'm using the Walker, sometimes I do "barrel rolls", but I don't want to do them. Because I want to adjust the Walker line of vision with the right stick, and if I move the stick twice, barrel roll XD. Barrel rolls are definitely my main grip with the control scheme. I don't think it's a really big and problematic deal, but it's something to acknowledge.
