I know it's not just one movie but, for me, the depth of Kara no Kyoukai: Garden of Sinners had me in awe. The first film just blew me away. The music, the production values, and the maturity of the premise were so far above most other anime and Shiki is an absolutely fasinating character. I don't think anything yet has reached the same level. I wish there were more of this kind of complexity in anime.
My Neighbor Totoro is pure magic. I don't remember anything that captures the soul of being a child as well. It's just timeless and brilliant.
