Zelda currently has very little momentum. If they'd dropped major new trailers at last E3 and last December, revealing info about the narrative, showing areas other than the grasslands, etc, they could already have a barrelling steam train of hype right now that this E3 could then build on. Instead, this E3 is going to have to kickstart the hypetrain from its current stall.

Yes, but again "Fact is that people already were very hyped about about Zelda U when was revealed at E3 2014, at this E3 that hype will be reactivated and make it much bigger than at E3 2014, and Nintendo will keep that hype and momentum till launch. Aso you don't need year and half to make momentum, Fallout 4 is proof of that."

6 months of huge hype and momentum is more than enuf, you really don't need to 2 years to make momentum.

Rebuilding hype from a stall is always worse than adding to existing positive momentum. Zelda now faces an uphill battle to prove itself against the weight of people's apathy.
