SSJ12, you know as well as we all do that "I love Nintendo but just hate the Wii cause of its direction" is foeboy talking point number one, in their attempts to prevent their opinions from being marginalized due to percieved bias. Now, subcosciencially a lot of the time, I hate on the PS3. I don't mean to be a PS3/360 foeboy, but I just have never been a big sony/ms fan, and the PS3 fanboys can sometimes really get on my nerves with their Nintendo flames(as Nintendo fanboys can with their sony flames) and I really love my Wii. We all know you are quite fond of HD gaming, and who can blame you, I know I can't. So, when you come out with this, frankly, offensive argument against a game and a company that we all know and love, which is a very generic argument fyi, right off of Wii bingo in face, and then claim that you really love Nintendo, it's just their recent direction, and it has nothing to do with your love of the PC and PS3 and your lately consistant claims that Nintendo fanboys need to shut up and know PC owns them. ....well what do you expect us to think about that?
It all comes down to the fact that the Wii is the leading console of this generation. Everyone who doesn't absolutely love the thing, will hate it. Simply, because it's talked about all the time, consistantly in every form of media, while the PS3 and 360 are often only mentioned in article related to the Wii, or when someone describes the Wii's competition, from a mainstream viewpoint. Certainly, everytime an article focused on the PS3 or 360 is written, the Wii gets a mention in that article. It's easy to get sick of something you don't particularly care for, especially when it's the dominant competition for something you do.
Let me give my opinion right now:
Wii Sports is not a "tech demo." Wii Sports is the most important hardware seller of this generation, and has probably sold more consoles than all other games this generation combined. It's actually quite a fun game for a while. Nintendo shouldn't be "called out" for making it, as it's quite important and well designed, particularly from a controlling standpoint. To call Wii Sports a mistake of any kind, in any way, ever, is an exersize in folly and I think you realize this. Wii Fit, dunno much about it. :P |
did you forget I owned a Wii....
