A Metroidvania showdown, Metroid vs Castlevania.

Well, I only like 2D Metroids, and I haven't played 3D Castlevanias other than 64 and Lament of Innocence.

So, judging by the 2D Games, I would pick Castlevania, since Symphony of the Night is one of my favorite games of all time. Super Metroid is great too, but SotN is a masterpiece.
