No, you're the one who said you hadn't analyzed the thesis, I was pointing out that the quote I provided didn't require you to.   And yes, at times she was unclear, you know when a really awesome time to be clear, and not give the wrong impression is?  When you're writing a thesis that touches upon real and fictional child pornography.  Beyond her thesis, she has also tweeted some not so ambiguous things.

And yeah, Kotaku.

How exactly are you able to assure me that a single quote from her thesis doesn't require any further analysis from her thesis? For example, for all I know she could have written a disclamer clarifying that she is talking about fictional material during that section.
And yes, being clear about her stance in the thesis itself is what I'm talking about as well. That doesn't mean that any given paragraph can't be missunderstood without reading the rest of it.

As for Kotaku, I'm well aware of Kotaku. And even though I have little praise for their journalism or work ethics, I can't exactly take the credentials of any given commenter on vgchartz forum for face value either. If I did, I'd be convinced that NX is coming out in 2018, and Xbox One will surpass PS4 in sales worldwide.
And to be clear, you haven't even specified if you've read through her entire thesis or not. But if there are other articles about this that have analyzed her thesis and their views contradicts that of the Kotaku article, I'd be more skeptical about it. For now, that's the only synopsis of it I've read.

My interest in this subject is moderate enough to read the jist of an article or two. But not to properly analyze a theisis and do extensive research on the matter.

Yeah, the quote came from the article I was indicating you hadn't read, not some random commenter on Vgchartz.  Thanks for proving the point.  As far as Kotaku, the problem isn't necessarily the story, the problem is reading just their version of it.
