It's 40$, and R&Cs have never been very long games. ~6 hours if you don't do any of the side content and don't play challenge mode (NG+) was expected, especially if he's not playing on the highest difficulty.
Besides, I blame the people for not buying the games so that Sony dares to take risks with the budget of the series
