This is really disgusting conduct by Nintendo. There was a time not so long ago when they were held up as an example of a company that didn't screw its costumers with carved up content. Now they're a prime example of the wrong way to do DLC; locking on-disc gameplay content behind overpriced and undersupplied toys. 

What next, will you need to buy Amiibo to play individual characters in the next Smash Bros?

Of all the ways Nintendo has disappointed me this generation, Amiibo is one of the most egregious. 

The Falco Amiibo isn't undersupplied, at least not here in the States.

I wouldn't know, but Nintendo's record with meeting demand for Amiibo is spotty to say the least.

That's not even the problem though, that's just one sour raisin in a stale and mouldy cake.
