There was a day some time ago, maybe around a year back, when for reasons I can't remember anymore I wanted to look up sales numbers for some game series which I can't remember anymore, and I stumbled upon this site, found my data and left again. Some time later on, I came back and looked up for more numbers. This time I checked some forum topics and news articles, realised how much activity was going on and read something here and there. From that point onwards, this site became my number one gaming information source.

I really like the passion and dedication of all you guys out there, sharing your thoughts on gaming every day and making this forum super informative and up-to-date while being pleasantly sophisticated and welcoming at the same time.

For some months I wrote some responses in a couple of threads I found interesting and where I had to share my thoughts, too. For now, I decided to introduce myself properly and let you know something about me. Let me start first with the fact that I love Nintendo. It goes back to the NES. I grew up with every home console and most handhelds. Looking back at all the great times I had playing all those fantastic games I could never decide which my favorite system was, because everyone had too many brilliant moments.

Still, I appreciate Playstation and Xbox as well. They are just not my cup of tea. In the era of the late 90s, I owned a PS1 next to my N64, but rarely played it. Same happened later on with the PS2 next to my Gamecube. The only games I liked were the Final Fantasys. Nintendo's games felt much more elaborate to me, much more compelling and heartwarming whereas I had the impression that only very few PS games cold match up with Nintendos's quality, like maybe Tekken, Tomb Raider or Gran Tourismo, but none of them appealed to me, so I rather played Banjo Kazooie for the 82. time and still enjoyed every single minute.

Of course there are good games on Playstation and Xbox as well, I would never downplay their gems, but Nintendo is my homebase. As of now I have a PS3 as a side console. My gf wanted it mostly, I only play the Final Fantasys on it. Yes, I love this series, and I'm happy to see FFXV coming to get finished at last, but I'll be waiting a while for a PS4, since at the moment, there are too few games for my taste. I'll be enjoying my Wii U in the meantime ;)

I like helping people whenever I can. I think that cooperation is better than competition, not only in gaming, but in life in general (The only excepton is business, because competition keeps innovations rolling and prices low. I studied economics and that's one of the things that got stuck in my head). When I used to play strategy games like Age of Empires or Starcraft, I enjoyed building my base, evolving my units and broaden my possibilities much, much more than defeating the enemy. I felt pity for the units I killed. Call me crazy, but I really had a bad feeling sometimes. Well, I was young, like 13 or so. This settled down, of course.

The biggest mistake I ever made when it comes to gaming was when I sold a big load of my N64 games and Gamecube games because I needed money. Stupid me. I was young. There had been so many fantastic games like OoT, MM, SM64, Pokemon Stadium, the Banjos, Zelda WW, Super Mario Sunshine, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Baten Kaitos, Second Sight (Anyone played that? It's awesome!), Smash Bros Melee and many more. I was so young, and so naive. Lately, I tried to rebuy some of them. The essentials, basically, with Super Mario Sunshine still missing because I wait for a nice price.

Regarding NX, I'm as curious as everyone else to see what Nintendo shows us, but I'm sure that whatever it's going to be, it will be fine.

Well, nowadays I don't have much time anymore, but I still love gaming as much as I used to. I hope we can all come along well together. Thanks for reading, and have a nice time!
