And it really seems like western media are already trying to use this for propaganda reasons: For example, many media articles discussing the Panama leaks are now mentioning Putin - but apparently his name is not even on the lists, just someone Putin knows. On the other hand, Ukraine's Poroshenko apparently really IS on the lists himself - but most media articles over here don't even mention his name. |
I doubt you checked "most" media articles about that topic. I watched Tagesschau yesterday (20:00 edition) and they definitely mentioned him. Also checked Spiegel Online and Bild.de and they had him on there too. Considering Süddeutsche Zeitung was the one getting all the information a year ago, I'm sure they mentioned his name as well.
That's by far the most important media outlets in Germany, so not sure what you're reading or watching. RTL II News don't count
