Regrading framerate, Digital Foundry's analysis of the early areas of the game suggests the 3DS version doesn't run quite as smooth as the Wii version.

Also, while I have not played it on 3DS myself, I can't imagine a small screen being as conducive to the game's signature sense of scale.

Ok, well the accurate analysis i can't dispute, but the game does feel better in a bigger screen for sense of scale. With that said, the game is as great on the 3DS (and cheaper)  and you won't be losing anything significant by going with it.

I honestly did not notice any significant FPS loss on the 3DS. Ran just like the Wii version from what i played.

Yeah, if someone has access to both a Wii and a New 3DS, I'd probably recommend the Wii version, primarily just for the big screen experience, which the game really feels like it was made for with its enormous vistas.
