You left out feedback sticks, rotating bumpers, the ability to change virtual buttons by game.  This will be a vastly different experience than moving from my 360 controller to my One.  I'm very curious.  Gamepad's way too big to be effective too.  I also like that it maintained the speakers from the gamepad, one of my favorite features it has.

This isn't a Wii type game changer. Yeah the analog stick is a little different. Fundamentally it's going to be the same types of games, what it does do is it does enable Nintendo to welcome smartphone app ports and I suspect that's the main reason for this design change. 

But basically this controller is Wii-U2. It looks to me like Nintendo was unable to come up with anything better.
