Movies based on DC comics don't exactly have the best track record when it comes to critical reception, and with Snyder directing this was pretty much what I expected. He makes some good films from time to time, but he's inconsistent to say the least. On that note, as long as he's attached to direct the Justice League films I won't get my hopes up.

The Dark Knight Trilogy?

I'm not saying they haven't made any good movies, but outside of the Batman films, they seem to have difficulties getting things right.
