Even SNES games have lag. I owned Super Mario Kart for a year or two before getting it again for my SNES, which is hooked up to a 90's CRT. I didn't realize just how laggy the VC version was until I played it properly on the original hardware. There was such a dramatic difference that I was annihilating the game. I had the same experience with F-Zero as well.

I don't know if it's Nintendo's programming or if it's the fact that an HDTV is trying to play games meant for TVs that didn't have input lag or what, but it's there, and it's obvious when you go back to the real version.

Well I do have F-Zero on the Wii U VC and while it probably does have some input lag, it doesn't bother me at all. I just hope Star Fox 64 doesn't have too much of it. As long as it's minor, I'll be fine.

You wouldn't notice it unless you played them back to back. The only thing I noticed about them before I bought them on cart again was that I wasn't nearly as good as I remembered being. In the end, it was really just the lag that made them harder and not my lack of skill.

I would guess that Star Fox 64 will be similar. It'll probably be alot tougher to beat due to everything being a tiny bit behind, but still enjoyable if that's the only way you can play it.
