Well then yes I was right, you don't like the changes Xenoblade needs.

You think everything is fine with the game. As for your comparison, you are like sayoing "well it's worst in other games, so why change it?", let's be serious for a minute, the point is not to make the less worst game of all, it's making a good game better. I didn't play Fallout 4 either, I don't like bethesda's games, just looking at an image of Elder's scrolls or Fallout makes me want to sleep.

Let's take step back and talk about the open world genre as a whole, it is far from perfect, people love them, I don't know why, most of them are really average games but bigger, clunky gameplay, repetitive missions, weak story, bugs these are the hallmarks of an openworld game. So what my suggestions were that some of those open world problems that made it in Xenoblade chronicles X, should be fixed for the sequel. But like I said, the people like you who find the game perfect as it is, just want a Xenoblade 1.5 with some new stuffs in it. For me, if X2 is a straight up sequel with the same problems, I'm out. That's all I'm saying.

And yes maybe you think most players love it, truth is, most players didn't buy the game, because they thought they wouldn't like it, and they're probably right. Because this game, as nice as it is, I love the mechs, I love the maps, there is nice weapon, armors, monsters, it's riddle with problems that makes it really cringing.

I wouldn't be entirely against them, I just don't see them as a "need" in the slightest.

Because you're a fan, and like every fan, you don't see the limitations of the genre you love.

Monolith focused a lot of efforts in stuffs that were minors, they certainly wanted to do a lot, way too much in my opinion.  It's the basic debate quality VS quantity, I will always side with the quality, I prefer an amazing game that last 2hours that leaves me wanting more, than a tedious game that last 30h that would make me puke if I played it 1 min more. So yes I would have wished that Xenoblade was a more condensed, more interesting game, with more features, better polish, and less useless side quests. But by changing all that, Xenoblade X, is no more Xenoblade X for the people that love Xenoblade X.

I have to say, they thoroughly tested the game, because on a technical standpoint it's really impressive that a game with such an open world doesn't have any technical flaws.

I seriously hope Nintendo didn't that way with the new Zelda. Open world games can be a lot better than that.
