The problem with it being a sequel is the art style. OoT, MM, and TP all had pretty much the same art style (just better graphics) than each other. This new Zelda looks more like a fusion of Skyward Sword and the Windwaker Trilogy (one of which was before the 3 way timeline split and the other is in the 3rd timeline, not the 2nd one where OoT, MM, and TP all are).
