I might as well post my first impressions of the game (after 4 hours of playtime). I haven't tried andyPvP yet; just PvE:

-It starts off very slow, but once you leave the starting area and arrive in the main area it starts to get more interesting. The story won't win any awards for sure but that is not a big issue.

-The  abundance of abandoned cars are seemingly there more for the cover system than anything haha. Seriously though this game very heavily relies on the cover shooting mechanic, and since theortetically you could run into enemy AI in almost every place outside safe areas, there are cars everywhere. Makes sense though since this is Manhattan. The cover mechanic seems ok once you get used to the controls, and the shooting/perks etc are all up to par IMO.

-I quite liked some of the environments I got into on my early missions. I won't spoil anything but it was a good mash of NYC and Pandemic

-The game seemed to perform quite well. You can tell there was a downgrade but the graphics are still nice to look at and the framerate did not suffer. The lighting and weather systems are well done. Almost everything is done very seamlessly which was a pleasant surprise for anyone who played Destiny. There is no need to go to Orbit all the time just to load different maps and missions etc. In the open world you can jump from mission to mission, PvE to PvP with minimal loading screens. You can join somebody's team (either a random or a friend, up to 4 people in Co-op) and play with them for hours upon end - sharing everything but the cutscenes. Seriously, the implementation of Co-op in this instance puts Destiny to shame.

-One thing I should point out is that the enemies can be bullet sponges. I discovered this first hand on bad connection and hard difficulty lol. I did lag out a few times but it did not happen enough to be immersion-breaking.

That's all I can think of right now but I am quite enjoying myself.
