Ooh, I'm not the only one with that unpopular opinion.

I'm not liking the look of civil war. They are going to deviate from the comics heavily from the looks. The comics paint iron man as a complete ass who stages and profits from the civil war.

Iron Man did some crazy stuff in that story.  He was damn near a villain (teaming with the Thunderbolts, locking heroes in a super prison, etc) but I think Marvel did that on purpose.  They had to make him a bad guy.  Truth be told, the way things unfolded, Iron Man was right.  My head said he was right but but my heart was and always will be on  Captain America's side!

I always wondered what they'd be fighting over in the movie.  Not enough heroes.  Hardly anyone with a secret identity.  I guess I still wonder.  Captain America going rouge and something to do with Bucky?  I can guess but I'd just end up disappointing myself.

The great thing about Civil War was that there was no right or wrong, just 2 different ways to look at a problem.

Iron Man took the approach that you see in the world today with Guantanamo, torture, holocaust style branding those who are different and seeing war as a solution.

Captain America took the idealistic approach, how things should be done in a perfect world.

Neither approach works as both have pro's and cons, but ultimately Tony Stark cloned a demi god to mislead heroes, killed heroes, tortured heroes and made a massive profit doing it all.

Tony stark in the comics represents the arms industry whilst Cap represents the constitution. The comic was deep, but Hollywood won't be. There is an election going on and Tony Stark represents the America of today. They cannot make him look bad.
