I don't think there will be one, not at first anyway.
I think if Nintendo releases a DS/3DS just with better graphics, they will continue to lose marketshare.
NX in my opinion will be a new form factor device not quite likely anything that's been on the market before it which can function as both a home console and a portable device.
New 3DS will be kept around by Nintendo for the next couple of years at a reduced price with a digital library to satiate the needs of people who like this form factor, NX will be something different/new (form factor will initially be much larger than 3DS XL I'm guessing, later on other models may come when Nintendo can die shrink like to say 10nm).
