So I actually just re-watched the trailer and it's not what you are saying it is. Obviously you haven't seen how amiibo work because Nintendo have released new sets of amiibo with different games that have launched in the past, but if the amiibo is Kirby that's all that matters. They didn't say that you have to buy this specific amiibo to get the ufo ability, it says tap any Kirby amiibo. What you are saying completely goes against what they wanted for amiibo in the first place, to give people the opportunity to collect and use over multiple games. Once again, I have many WiiU games and not one forces me to buy an amiibo in order to enjoy the full game or what I want from it! People are just looking for any reason to complain... |
Lmao.
"Alongside Kirby Planet Robobot on June 10th, we're launching a new line of Kirby series amiibo, including Kirby (of course), Metaknight, King Dedede, and the irreplacable Waddle Dee. When you tap any of these Kirby series amiibo, Kirby will recieve a copy ability, but he'll also recieve a costume unique to each figure. Not to mention the Kirby figure grants him a power you can only get in this game with amiibo: the UFO ability."
Now if you saw the trailer asyou claim, I'm sure you'll notice the Kirby Smash Bros. series amiibo grants him Smash Bros. ability; an ability that I previously said in this thread is good implementation. They never mentioned otherwise that the Smash Bros. line is implemented with the Kirby line once.
I prefer amiibo stay and they are implemented in games well. In fact, I'm an advocate for them. I am not, however, going to pretend that bad implementation like this is good nor will I defend them when they do it.
Also this about a 3DS game not a Wii U one...
