New NX Rumor about Activision supporting the system.

Could that mean S/M would be moved to the NX, or that they will make a NX version of the game? Because I don't see GameFreak splitting the generations like that.

Yeah I cold see that argument, but then again they did have all last year to work on the game so maybe they will be in similar styles to each other so the transition isn't as jarring. But that's just me speculating.
