That was Jaws, in 1975. Star Wars was 1977. Some people say Jaws ruined Hollywood in the 70's. It's been summer blockbusters ever since, and films like the Godfather, Easy Rider, American Graffiti, The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy, were the last hurrah of the second golden age of Hollywood, or whatever you want to call it.
Yeah, but that was Spielberg, and we look at all the great movies he's made and forgive him.
