| Hiku said: Complaining about Nintendo's censorship reaches Square Enix's ears as well. It's their choice in letting Nintendo publish their games. I'm sure there are other companies who would be willing to publish big Square Enix titles like this over the much smaller niche titles they usually bring over to the west instead. But Nintendo may be a more profitable choice for Square. Several outfits in the game have been altered like this. But this is a teen rated game. |
You're so really sure that it's Nintendo which is guilty for this? I know that usually SE choose their own localization teams, and even if I'm not sure which was the localization team behind Bravely Second, I'm willing to bet that it's SE related. Also, SE did similar things in the past, for example:

This is for Mobius Final Fantasy, it's not really the same case but they toned down the model for the Japanese release, compared to the previous model. Too much skin. Not really censorship because the game wasn't released with the first character model, but it shows that they're willing to tone down some model characters if they feel they're not suitable.
Also, Bravely Default was censored, and this game is pretty much SE fault.
And I really agree with BD censorship, by the way, 15-year old women in erotic outfits is totally disgusting.
As I said, I don't really know which company was responsible, but jumping to conclusions so quick screams "bias" to me.
