I don't really follow MLB since I think baseball as a sport is a complete snoozefest so I don't know how acurately the MLB MVP actually represents the best player each year.  One of the main criterias for each sports MVP award is that you are on winning team if you are the best player in the league on a loosing team there is no chance you will win the MVP award.

I have always thought MVP should be given out to which ever player would go #1 in a fantasy draft within said year. I think each GM from each city should vote for the award. No one should be allowed to vote for their home player. Which ever player ends up being the most coveted player is the MVP... hence... most VALUABLE player.
