Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. Sexuality was in SW since the Original Trilogy, and failing to see that is just unbelievable. It's like they don't pay attention to the movies or something xDDDDD. It was a big important plot point on the prequels, and it was important to develop the relationship between Leia-Solo-Luke.

There's a difference between a couple kissing and having loads of fake sex on camera. It's not a love story or similar to something like Game of Thrones or Sparticus.
