-More challenge in the single player game
-Nerfs to broken abilities like Parental Bond (never going to happen though)
-Simplify Hidden Power. I mean, damn.
-A physical version of Hidden Power
-More ways to remove entry hazards than Rapid Spin and Defog. It's a lot easier to set t them than it is to remove them.
-A faster battle interface. If a Pokemon gets KO'd a full health, just let it faint. Don't show it's HP draining first, then fainting. There are plenty others I can mention here too.
-A battle interface with more complete info. Online servers like Showdown have the real game beat in this regard. Show me everyone's buffs/nerfs, show me screens, show me more on screen.
-Better animations from the Pokemon. It's a shame that the Stadium games on N64 have a game that released about 15 years later on a more powerful console beat in terms of animation in several areas, especially the fainting animations.
-In GTS, if your Pokemon isn't traded after 72 hours, it gets taken off the GTS. I'm sick of seeing all the Mew for Rattata requests.
-Elemental gyms make their triumphant return
-HMs are retooled. They are no longer required to take up a moveslot. Your Pokemon can learn HMs and use them outside of battle, and the in-battle move is now optional. No more HM slaves!
-When you receive an egg from the day care, it hatches right away. Seriously, I want to play Pokemon, not Bike Simulator. It adds absolutely NOTHING to the game, except tedium.
-And most of all: from now on, your Pokemon do not forget their moves. Instead, you choose up to four active moves from their movepool to take into battle. No more move reminders. Any move that your Pokemon learned as a level up or egg move can be made active any time outside of battle.
