The reasons I never complained about the low amount of new pokémons in gen6 was mega evolutions. I feel their is anough pokémons already, at some point it gets rediculous, both by the amount and the design of new pokémons. Don't get me wrong, I still expect and want new pokémons, but I think thanks to mega evolution, they can make fewer new pokémons while giving old ones a new life.

Altho, I think there is no way they will make a 100+ new megas for Sun/Moon. I say 30tops, and I think I'm being to generous :P

100 new pokemon plus some megas is not that implausible. I know there are a lot of pokemon as it is, but I don't think at least 100 per gen is that bad, as long as they are not forgettable (ejem lumineon, wormadam ejem).
