So Niji (Rainbow) apparently was confirmed as the codename for Pokemon Moon/Sun too?

Yeah, it looks like Trev's sources are legit. Zelda NX + NX launch this fall, Wii U will see one more big release (likely Paper Mario U) and then it's over.
