I'm not against a FFVIIR multiplat, but generally this kind of unfounded rumors brings many expectations that ultimately becomes disappointment when it doesn't happen.

That is not a fair argument. Technically the first home console Mario was released on was the Atari. Perhaps he should not be in smash.

 

Not the same context, the game on Atari was licensed by Nintendo and Mario is created by Nintendo, not Solid Snake ;p
