The past couple of days has seen a series of old threads being bumped. Even today a thread from 2006 (that's right, a decade old thread) was randomly necrobumped. Necrobumping when approved by a mod or if it is an official thread is fine -but posting a throw-away comment in a long dead thread will cause you to recieve a moderation.

Here is what the forum rules says about Necrobumping threads;

  • "Necro-Bumping (Namely posting in a non-Official/Moderator approved thread 30 days after the most recent post) will be treated as a form of spamming if the post in question has no valid reason for being posted, or treated as a form of flaming/trolling if the post in question is malicious in its intent. It will be up the moderator to rule on whether a necro-bumping post is pertinent or not."
The moderation team has felt the need to refresh the forum users of this rule, both new and old the avoid further necrobumps without permission in the near future.
So no necrobumping
