What I see is that non-Fire Emblem fans try to make this an issue while Fire Emblem fans are either indifferent or say good riddance. That makes it fan service that has missed the mark. It's not icing on the cake, but rather a stain on an otherwise clean cloth. Somehow I doubt that a mere change of age would silence the critics. Also, I doubt that the people who are against the removal of bikinis would be happy because Nintendo changed the content of the game by making characters older than they originally were. |
I disagree with any censorship just on principle alone. If I googled fire emblem and took a look at the games of the series, will I find more sexualized fan service? Does that mean that type of fan service is the norm for the series now and it's something the fans of the series expect in the games? Didn't awakening save the series? Seems more a handful of prudes are just trying to justify the censorship when other fans would rather have the game remain as close as possible to the japanese version/true version.
