I have to say, I'm loving this WiiWare thing. Once the storage issue is solved we should see some kick ass games hitting more consumers.

Here's some data I crunched on how much a WiiWare game such as Lost Winds needs to sell to break even.

If each employee made $100,000 a year and you have 12 employee's and they worked for 6 months on Lost Winds, they'd need to sell 100,000 copies of Lost Winds to break even. If each person averages $50,000, they only need to sell $50,000 copies of the game. Seems pretty easily doable to me either way.

The sequel to Lost Winds should only require about half the development time and half the cost to produce so they'd need somewhere between 25,000-50,000 copies sold to break even. Seems like a great business plan to me. Anything above those numbers is gravy.
