He may actually have been quite smart with his money. A quick google search says that he owns restaurants, fashion lines, perfume brands, and even a football team, and might be worth as much as $215 million.

Although other sites say he's worth "only" $4 million.

They're a site that autogenerates celebtrity "articles", ie. put in a random celebrity name, than slightly changes a few parameters from each article. I'm sure you'll find suspiciously similar investments for other celebrities if you google it.
