I also question your argumentative priorities. It seems that you're more concerned about painting yourself in a moral light than refuting counterarguments. When it comes to such serious political topics, emotions need to be cast away.

And in my view you are completely wrong when it comes to discussing this issue. Emotions are very much needed whenever descisions are to be made in regards to human beings. Political descisions should always be made in a balance between our care for fellow humans, and the society as a whole. And the very basis to this thread seem to be emotional, not based on facts.
