| Normchacho said: Nintendo is currently doing fine, but, their profits dropped by a third from last year. If the NX doesn't launch this year, then they'll drop again, possibly by an even larger amount. 3DS sales are running out of steam and I can pretty much guarantee that regardless of whether the NX launches this year or not, WiiU sales will be down as well. It doesn't help that it looks like Nintendo is in for another pretty dry year for games. It looks like Zelda will be out late in the year, but other than that it's really just TWPHD and Star Fox Zero for notable games. |
Would you say Sony's gaming division had a good quarter? Because if so, Nintendo had an even better quarter as far as profits. This whole notion of Nintendo needing to do this or that is 100% false. They're making more money than their competitors right now as far as gaming goes. I mean, Splatoon is outselling Bloodborne 2 to 1...
I will be the first to admit that I use to put alot of stock in market share/units sold etc. but it's clear to me now that there is far more to this gaming industry than that. Alot more.
