heck even the card based amiibos are selling tons

 

And those are just the Animal Crossing Franchise which only works for 2 AC spin off games. Imagine Nintendo doing it with Pokemon!!!!!!! 

what I'm most fearful of is when Pokken Tournament releases that there will be a whole line of Pokken Tournament amiibos
