Skylanders were at over 100m at the same point in time.

They are at over 250m as of June 3, 2015.

Skylanders are really another kind of beast. They are cheaper I think though.

I think about the same, Skyland struck gold. Nintendo needs it's killer app for amiibo which hasn't happened at all. Imagine a kingdom Hearts game with amiibo :p
