Nothing is concrete. NX may never even come out (where's Quality of Life, Nintendo?). Iwata DID say they were working on a new definition of a gaming platform in 2014 and that would take them roughly 2 years to realize. They DID sign a deal with Sharp in 2014 for free-form LCDs which will begin mass produciton in early 2016. They DID file a patent for a game controller/device with a free form display. They likely have have given third parties NX development kits last year, Nikkei has been very reliable on Nintendo news in the past, so I count that as fairly solid too. Those are three things to me that are fairly concrete. It doesn't neccessarily point to any singular conclusion. |
They are a lot more concrete than anything the people who believe it will launch in 2017 can find.
