Even though I can see them porting Smash to NX mainly because of how involved it is in tournaments the console version has massed almost 5m and will likely on Wii U alone hit around 6-7m. The game paid for itself long ago.

 

Exactly. 3ds versions first quarter (was at 3mil ish) already made them money alone (including expenses/etc) And that said 5mil minimum is huge. 

I can see both games finishing at 16mil total (6mil wiiu and 10mil 3ds)

On top of that if an NX port is coming and a launch title at that it'll add on at least 3mil more. (depends on a number of factors tbh)
