Do you have a cat? If you do, in that cats eyes it owns you, your house and everything in it. 

Not exacty true. This may seem like a weird explanation, but if a cat buries its own poop after going to the litter box, it means it thinks you are its boss. The longer it tries to bury it, the more it respects you.
