I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the Twilight Princess engine giving them some hiccups. Cause they aren't completely ignoring mesh improvements. Interiors and dungeons have gotten noticeable improvements to mesh quality, especially with rounded objects like pillars and arches. I am guessing the very old engine made improvements of the same type across all exteriors troublesome. And Tantalus isn't Nintendo EAD. They may have elected to avoid toying with the engine code too much. |
Yes. That could be another reason. No matter how strong your computer is. If the game engine is outdated. It can only handle so much. Its imitations could just be forcing them to cherry pick what is improved or fixed. They could of had the better lighting. The engine went to hell, and ran at 10 fps. Or the engine has a poly limit. And only Link/Midna can be focused on.
Take Train Simulator. I know most don't play that game. But the game, preformance wise, is total horse shit. Because, the game engine is that old. I get 30-40 FPS. When I have a gtx 770 and a i7 CPU and 20GB of ram. It's not my PC. It's just the shit outdated engine. I'm runnning GTA V at max 1080p settings. I get 55-60fps. While this POS train sim engine. I get 20fps drops in cities...
