Google "Exodus: Gods and Kings Whitewashing".  You'll get far more information than the Wiki page provides.

I was looking up Gods of Egypt. But by looking at what articles I found it mentioned a lot about big names to sell the film not specifically white but sadly the big names are white. The idea that 1 big actor could sell the films and then all other roles are filled with the appropriate castings though, would this still be wrong? A big name doesn't need to be white, just a big name. You'd think Ridley Scott's name would be enough.
