These are kind of two seperate things though ... VC running on the actual hardware (be it an iPad or whatever) is different from a game being streamed.
If it's streamed really you could even have the high end NX games, there's no real difference between streaming that and streaming a Super NES game.
I guess it could work like this ....
Home receiver + controller = $79.99 US. You buy games for the standard $39.99-$59.99 and you "own" them, you just need to make sure you have a good enough internet connection. If you ever upgrade to the "full NX" console, you have the option of downloading your purchased game. There's an option for an ala carte streaming service where Nintendo cherry picks a certain amount of VC, Wii/Wii U, and NX content you can get for $8.99/month if you want that.
It would be crazy if they partnererd with Netflix ... ie: For an extra $5-$8/month you get access to Nintendo VC games, Wii/Wii U games, and some NX games and demos.
