Not really.
Amiibos are physical goods and on-disc content locked behind a paywall with a touch of season pass, all in one. Once you have an Amiibo you have access to all extra features/content unlocked by that figurine, and you also get, obviously, the figurine itself. It's a different business model from that of microtransations.
