I assume that it's not people who can't make up their minds, but instead two different camps. I have always disliked the idea of Amiibo being used for in-game content.

I agree, I find myself in the "they are paid dlc" camp

 

at first I thought amiibo would be great, but once I realized they were making 70+ different variants, I now view them as over priced microtransactions.
