Animal Crossing is Irregular (3-10 millions)

Mario Kart and Smash are 5+ million sellers

Splatoon and Zelda are 4+ million sellers

Metroid 2+ million seller

I think he meant by 3DS sales of those IPs. 

Though I don't think they're really distinct audiences for these IP. 2D Mario, 3D Mario, Mario Kart, probably have a ton of overlap for example and even other IPs ... I would probably wager most people who like Animal Crossing like ... Mario too. 

If Nintendo had six 10 million selling IP exclusive and they were Mario, Final Fantasy, Uncharted, Star Wars, and FIFA or something that would certainly draw very different demographics.
