This part here makes me wonder. It sounds like the character won't be attracted to women at all in the western version of the game?

And from what I understand, this wasn't about curing someone of homosexuality, but making a bisexual (?) character not be afraid of men anymore.

I read the translation as able to fight alongside cute girls (think moe or little sister rather than romantic interest) and more comfortable around men.
