It's not my favorite controller, but aside from the Snes controller, it was the best Nintendo controller IMO. It did some things right, the analog stick felt great (c stick was bad though), the shoulder buttons were great, it was responsive, and if we include the wave bird, it was the first to do wireless well. That being said, the d pad wasn't that great, the c stick was annoying, and the button layout could have used work. It was great for its time, but it wouldn't be good enough for current times (better than the gamepad or wii remote though)
