That's what Nintendo did with Wii U; had a more powerful console than the consoles in the market prior to it's release. Made a damn expensive dual analog controller that was better than the controllers on the market. Nintendo exactly what the "hardcore" wanted them to do. Wii U is a Gamecube 2, and largely for the same reasons Gamecube failed, so did Wii U.
